June 10, 2011- Small Ceremony & Reception

Okay so I (Tammi #2) am proving to be a terrible blogger...who knew!
We had the pleasure of being a part of a very small (and I mean small!) ceremony and reception for 10 people, counting the Bride & Groom early Friday afternoon.
Originally they had selected the terrace as the outdoor location for their reception but it was a very hot day so Tammy & Larry graciously opened their home and allowed them to have the intimate reception in the formal dining room of the house. The transformation was breathtaking. Tammy (#1) is amazing at what she does. She is the true mastermind behind all of the decorating that goes on at Saratoga but she truly outdid herself for this event. She puts a lot of hard work, sweat and heart into each and every event, no matter how big or small. See for yourself....

Wow, what rain we had for our second wedding of the season! But that didn't stop the wedding or reception...the show must go on! We had a Plan B already set up and had to go with it, thanks to Mother Nature! It was still as beautiful as ever...I could just kick myself for leaving my camera in the house during the ceremony, but I did have a few other things on my mind, like directing the wedding! Here are a few pics of the reception area....Congrats Nakisha & Aries!

So after 2 1/2 weeks of painting the interior of the house, they finally get the house put back together. These colors are so bold! I just love them. Tammy #1 did a great job picking them out. She has such a knack for stuff like that...no wonder she is wonderful at decorating for receptions!

A blast from the past! We have had our share of celebrities at Saratoga over the past 10 years. Ryan & Krissie Newman got hitched at our place...Clay Aiken was a surprise guest a few years back, apparently good friends with one of our Brides...Jimmy Johnson's brother got married at Saratoga and of course he was in the Bridal Party!...and last but not least, for those of you old enough to remember the movie, "Footloose" from the 80's, Kenny Loggins sang during a ceremony seven years ago. The bride one a local radio contest and this was her prize!

Our grandson, Cooper celebrated his 3rd Birthday at the Saratoga Springs on August 1st with a Thomas the Tank Engine Bash, complete with a Sodor Sweet Shop and a trackless train! Cooper is the son of our daughter-in-law and Head Director, Tammi Honeycutt.

Our daughter-in-law (and head wedding director) Tammi, planned a Surprise Sweet 16 for one of our super sweet grandaughters, Shelby Honeycutt, here at Saratoga. With a lot of help from family and friends it was a wonderful party for a special young lady. Special thanks to our wedding vendors - the Union Street Bistro for providing a wonderful meal, to BK Event Productions for making it a fun-filled evening with music and games, and to Linda Huneycutt for making a beautiful cake! There was also a photo booth set up for some fun pictures....

Last week, I think it was, a Mom, Dad and a prospect Bride (Cassie)

came and toured our facility only to fall in love with it. Cassie knew in her heart that this was the place where she wanted her wedding to take place...and I could see on Mom and Dads face that this was where they wanted her to get married as well. They commenced to telling me that the Groom-to-be was in the military, stationed in Mississippi but was soon headed to Afghanistan and was coming up in the next few days and they wanted him to see the place before they made any decisions. They left that day after they shed a few tears while discussing the wedding and said that they would be in touch to set up an appointment to bring the Groom-to-be. The next day I received a call from Cassie's Mom telling me that they wanted to put the deposit down for her wedding day..but did not want to tell Cassie and her fiancee until the day that they were both coming back here to Saratoga to insure the Groom-to-be's approval. From what I gathered from my conversation with her Mom I could tell that Cassie's Dad loved to surprise his family. Cassie's Mom and Dad came down the next day and brought us the deposit along with a letter for us to hand to Cassie after her and her fiancee looked around and soaked everything in.

She is a lucky lady to have such an awesome set of parents!

Weekend after weekend we have watched another beautiful, blissful couple stroll down the aisle and say their "I Do's".

We are so super blessed to be a part of so many peoples beginnings!

Busy, busy, busy would be the best way to describe life around The Saratoga Springs for the past few months! We have new additions to our package as well as a NEW and IMPROVED website! We are still in the process of having it 100% complete...but we are definitely not far!
